"An error occurred while reading the FLP file"

"It may be corrupted, or some plugin caused an error while opening."

So I've been working difficult on a runway for like the last week and a half and today I come up to open it to finish it upwardly and I get that bulletin. I'chiliad genuinely crushed by seeing this, I'd put so much try into the track and was hoping to upload after today but at present...aught. I've searched effectually and from the looks of things I won't exist getting it back.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, did you lot manage to recover your project (and how), or is it basically game over?

It's then frustrating as I save every 5 minutes to make certain I don't lose anything and now this. I judge in the stop it's my fault for not backing upward the project to a second salve file simply I honestly had no idea that this could happen. Any help yous guys have is appreciated.

Is either your copy of FL, or any of the plugins used in the project, cracked copies?

I only went into the Backup folder and saw like 30 backups of that projection! I had no idea they were at that place and they seem to work fine and the latest one opened exactly where I left it so hopefully I tin can deport on at present and just be extra careful. Such a relief seeing that, maybe I should of checked that folder before panicking and posting on here lol. Thanks for the responses anyway.

@wub My FL re-create is 18-carat but I have a cracked copy of z3ta from a few years back then mayhap that was what caused it. I hardly use that anymore anyway so mayhap information technology'southward worth getting rid of altogether.

Sometimes people can't afford products like large proper noun VSTs and DAWs so torrents are shut "friends." Skream wouldn't be where he is today without that little cracked copy of Fruity Loops. Information technology is stealing but... When yous actually can afford them, you purchase the production twice to compensate for the time you stole. That's just my two cents though.

Earlier I read the rest of the thread I was going to say "Merely doesn't FL do machine backups?"

Never had a projection corrupt on me simply whatever DAW worth its common salt will automatically back shit up similar that for yous :)

FL has an optional auto backup; the default is a backup prompt.

Try clicking the backup folder in the browser.

Got hit with a corrupted project about a month agone merely only went through the backup files in the FL Fill-in folder until one wasn't corrupted which worked fine.
Went to open a dnb tune concluding calendar week though that I'd been working on but because I've been jumping betwixt several projects the backups for the dnb tune have disappeared and I can only access the backups of the most contempo track I'd been working on.

Does anyone accept an alternative method for resurrecting information technology? Would hate to think that it'southward gone to waste. Even tried downloading a programme that claims to prepare corrupted projects simply no luck.
